Day 1 – International Arrival in Lima
Assistance at your arrival to Lima International airport and transfer to your hotel, there you will receive a briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services included in your tour and additional information on the organization of your Peru trip. Overnight at Lima Hotel

Day 2 – Lima Sightseeing Tour
Morning free to relax; we recommend you to take a long rest and be prepared to begin with this unforgettable journey through our wonderful country. Lunch on your own.
Pick up from the Hotel at 1:00pm, guided sightseeing tour to the most attractive and important sites in Lima, the “City of Kings”. This excursion offers the best combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary. In Lima, there were several different pre-Columbian cultures which are dated thousands of years back. Lima was part of the Inca Empire until was founded by the Spaniard Francisco Pizarro on the 18th of January, 1535. Overnight at Lima Hotel

Arrival in Puerto Maldonado (Capital of Biodiversity of Peru)

Day 3 . Reception at the airport or at the bus station and transfer to the office for Monte Amazónico Lodge corresponding records.
Transfer to the port of Madre de Dios River where the boat for an hour cruise will lead us to our hostel (Monte Amazon Lodge) Welcome meeting with a delicious typical fruit juice, take time to settle into our rooms.
After a rest, you will have an introduction a walk for two hours in the rain forest, guided by skilled and experienced local guides who will take you through our trails and you can see some trees that may have more than five hundred years, so you can see some animals like toucans, orioles, trogons, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc.. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our forest that is adjacent to the Tambopata National Reserve (278,000 hectares protected).

After lunch, we will go to the monkey island, located in front of our lodge across the Madre de Dios River and we look for the family of capuchin monkeys that live on this island, return to the lodge
In the evening we will go for white alligators, the Madre de Dios river with flashlights on sandbars and we can also see the Capybara the largest rodent in the world weighing up to 60 kilos, back to the lodge, dinner and rest.

Day 4. After breakfast walk 3 km Amidst the dense tropical jungle and head towards the lake Sandoval (habitat of Piranhas) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve, and sail in paddle canoe monkeys and appreciate great variety of birds and different species (shansho cormorant Jacanas, puma heron, vultures, howler monkey, monkey monk, black capuchin, tamarins and sloths). Maybe we will meet with the family of giant otters (almost two meters long) which is endangered and registered the largest alligators over 4 feet long, return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch and afternoon enjoy the extraordinary spectacle of the sunset over the Madre de Dios River. Dinner and rest.

Day 5. 5:30 a.m. in the morning a short walk through the canopy walk-way, about 40 meters high, allowing us to have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River and allow us to observe different species of birds, including toucans , trogons, macaws, tanagers, orioles, etc..

Breakfast and return to the city, transfer to airport or bus station.

Day 6 – Cusco Sightseeing Tour
Breakfast at the hotel; free morning to get acclimatized
At 1:30pm pick up from the Hotel; guided sightseeing tour in Cusco like Koricancha temple of Sun the most important shrines during the Incas time. Visit the Cathedral the most imposing church at the main square. The tour keeps going to Sacsayhuaman, this site is a megalithic work made by the Incas; it stands on a hill looming over the city to the north-yet even these enormous stones are filled with that extraordinary Inca perfection. The next sightseeing is named Qenqo, it shows a singular limestone outcrop, which was used to religious cult. The tour finishes visiting Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Overnight at Cusco Hotel

Day 7 – Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas
Breakfast at the hotel; this tour is a full day visit to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, covering the visit Pisaq and Ollantaytambo archaeological sites. The first visit at the village of Qorao where is possible to take beautiful pictures of the landscapes from a lookout site. The next visiting is Pisaq (archaeological site and Indian market). Lunch at Sacred Valley, after lunch, visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle. The Fortress consists of a series of stepped carved stone terraces accessed by long staircases. Stop in Ollantaytambo where we spend the night. Overnight at Ollantaytambo Hotel

DAY 08: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO (WALKING AND VISIT THE INCA CITADEL)
we get ready to head to Machu Picchu, our trek will follow an ascending path through the high forest, hopefully we could have the opportunity to see the sunrise on our way, after registering in the control entrance around 6:00 am. we will have a private guide leading us within the Inca citadel, and after 2 hrs. aprox. the group will be free to enjoy Machu Picchu by its own. Those travelers that booked the hiking to Huayna Picchu will be able to start this journey, the climbing lasts around 45 min. the way up is very steppy at some points but it’s worth it because the view from this area is breathtaking. Although this trek is not recommended for people that suffer of dizziness. In the afternoon, according to the departure of the train ticket, we will descend walking to the town of Aguas Calientes to get the train back to Ollantaytambo where the group will be picked up and transferred to Cusco city. Remember to be at least 30 min. at the train station before departure. End of our journey in Cusco.

Day 09 – Bus to Puno
Breakfast at the hotel; transfer to the bus station to head off to Puno. Beautiful scenery all along the way, visit of the Raqchi and archeological sites as well as Andahuaylillas village and its famous “Sixteen Chapel” that was built in the middle of the 17th century lunch in Sicuani. Overnight at Puno Hotel

Day 10– Lake Titicaca / Uros Floating Island and Overnight in Amantani
Breakfast at the hotel; Lake Titicaca 2 Day/1 night pick up from the Hotel take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating “Islands” of the Uros. These ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe, have built their own “islands” by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called “Totora”. Their homes and boats are also made from this material. Continue the motor boat trip to Amantani Island. This island is inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives still governed by their ancient traditions, whose main occupations are the production of ceramics and textiles. Lunch at Amantani and overnight at homestay with local family

Day 11 – Lake Titicaca / Taquile Island
Breakfast at the familiar house; you have time to stroll at leisure through the quaint streets of this colourful island. Late morning, take a motor-boat to Taquile Island, also inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and unique social systems, as well as fine hand weaving techniques, down through the generations. It is necessary to go up a stairway of more than 567 steps – streaks of stone that wind their way among greenery platforms – to arrive at the town of Taquile. Lunch at Taquile, and then take a walk through the various hills and archaeological sites of this 6km long island in the afternoon back to Puno. Overnight at Puno Hotel

Day 12 – Depart Puno / Lima International departure
