Pick up from the Hotel at 1:00pm, guided sightseeing tour to the most attractive and important sites in Lima, the “City of Kings”. This excursion offers the best combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary. In Lima, there were several different pre-Columbian cultures which are dated thousands of years back. Arrival in Puerto Maldonado (Capital of Biodiversity of Peru)
Day 2 Reception at the airport or at the bus station and transfer to the office for Monte Amazónico Lodge corresponding records.
Transfer to the port of Madre de Dios River where the boat for an hour cruise will lead us to our hostel (Monte Amazon Lodge) Welcome meeting with a delicious typical fruit juice, take time to settle into our rooms.
After a rest, you will have an introduction a walk for two hours in the rain forest, guided by skilled and experienced local guides who will take you through our trails and you can see some trees that may have more than five hundred years, so you can see some animals like toucans, orioles, trogons, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc.. You will have the opportunity to experience the magic of our forest that is adjacent to the Tambopata National Reserve (278,000 hectares protected).
After lunch, we will go to the monkey island, located in front of our lodge across the Madre de Dios River and we look for the family of capuchin monkeys that live on this island, return to the lodge
In the evening we will go for white alligators, the Madre de Dios river with flashlights on sandbars and we can also see the Capybara the largest rodent in the world weighing up to 60 kilos, back to the lodge, dinner and rest.
Day 3 After breakfast walk 3 km Amidst the dense tropical jungle and head towards the lake Sandoval (habitat of Piranhas) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve, and sail in paddle canoe monkeys and appreciate great variety of birds and different species (shansho cormorant Jacanas, puma heron, vultures, howler monkey, monkey monk, black capuchin, tamarins and sloths). Maybe we will meet with the family of giant otters (almost two meters long) which is endangered and registered the largest alligators over 4 feet long, return to the lodge to enjoy a typical lunch and afternoon enjoy the extraordinary spectacle of the sunset over the Madre de Dios River. Dinner and rest.
Day 4 5:30 a.m. in the morning a short walk through the canopy walk-way, about 40 meters high, allowing us to have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River and allow us to observe different species of birds, including toucans , trogons, macaws, tanagers, orioles, etc..
Breakfast and return to the city, transfer to airport or bus station.

Day 5 – Cusco Sightseeing Tour private guide

At 1:30pm pick up from the Hotel; guided sightseeing tour in Cusco like Koricancha temple of Sun the most important shrines during the Incas time. The tour keeps going to Sacsayhuaman, this site is a megalithic work made by the Incas; it stands on a hill looming over the city to the north-yet even these enormous stones are filled with that extraordinary Inca perfection. DAY 6 – CHINCHERO, MARAS, MORAY. Private guide
Transfer from Cusco to Chinchero. Chinchero is a town conformed by several communities and whose main income comes from textiles and tourism. We will visit its textile and handicraft market, where you will have the chance to see the traditional weaving and dying techniques which have been kept by these local villagers for centuries. From here we will head to village of Maras and the experimental agricultural terraces of Moray. It is believed in this fascinating area the Incas created their own microclimate to adapt plants to this altitude. After this we will make an afternoon visit to the salt mines located just below Maras. These mines are still operating and peasants work on them during the day. Return to Cusco in the afternoon.
Day 7 – Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas Private guide
Breakfast at the hotel; this tour is a full day visit to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, covering the visit Pisaq and Ollantaytambo archaeological sites. The first visit at the village of Qorao where is possible to take beautiful pictures of the landscapes from a lookout site. The next visiting is Pisaq (archaeological site and Indian market). Lunch at Sacred Valley, after lunch, visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valley, and protect it from possible invasion from the tribes in the Lower jungle. Below you will find details of the most famous adventure tour in Cusco: The Inca Jungle. This itinerary describes the activities day by day as well as what is included. The tour won’t face too much crowd as the classic inca trail.
DAY 8 CUSCO – Santa Maria RAFTING is optional 25 dollars
The program of Inca Jungle tour starts when we pick you up at your hotel from 6:30 to 7.00 am. then we head towards the sacred valley of the Incas, along the way we will see picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes, arriving at Ollantaytambo, after a break we will continue with the trip by bus. After 1hr. aprox. we will arrive at the Abra Malaga around 11 am. (4350 mt.), point of departure with the bikes, we will descend for 3 hrs., passing through small villages, orchards, rivers and streams, reaching the town Huamanmarca around 1:30 pm. Aprox. Then our private bus will take the group for 30 min. to the town of Santa Maria, where we will have lunch. After a short break, we will begin a new adventure, the rafting trip will lasts around 2 hrs., encountering rapids class III and IV, always accompanied by a professional safety kayak that will take care of the group all the time. Travelers that didn’t book the rafting tour will go with an assistant guide in our private bus for 20 min. to the town of Santa Maria, to spend the first night surrounded by vegetation and beautiful landscapes.

DAY 09 Santa Maria – SANTA TERESA (HIKING)
We got up around 6:00 a.m. to enjoy a typical breakfast in the middle of nature, then we start the walking along the banks of the river and start climbing for 30 min. aprox. part of this trek will go through the original inca trail. On our way we will see small coffee plantations, fruit trees, among others. The area is surrounded by many types of birds and orchids; this ecosystem belongs to the high forest and is one of the most rich in terms of biodiversity of the Inca jungle. Once on top we will see the whole valley of the lower Urubamba. The group will walk down the mountain for 2.30 hrs. aprox. until arriving at the village of Qellomayo, to have the meal. After a break we continue walking for 3 hrs. crossing farms, waterfalls and rivers until arriving at the hot water springs of Santa Teresa, and after a relaxing bath, the group will continue walking for 40 min. until reaching the town of Santa Teresa to sleep in one of the rural lodges. After the dinner we all are invited to visit one of the bars to hang out with the members of the group.

Around 7 am., after a typical breakfast we will get ready to continue exploring the roads that were followed by the first expeditionaries that discovered Machu Pichu and other important archaeological complex. The next journey will start in Santa Teresa. Those who reserved in advance will make the zipline (and later this group will be taken by bus to the area known as the hydroelectric), the rest of the group will continue the trek of 3 hrs. aprox. through the valley until reaching the hydroelectric too, where the entire group will get together again. Here we will enjoy of a great lunch. And after a break we will continue walking along this great inca jungle tour for 3 hrs., enjoying beautiful waterfalls, going through coca and coffee farms along the railway until arriving at the town of Aguas Calientes around 4 pm. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we all will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu and the group will receive some snacks.

DAY 11 AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO (WALKING AND VISIT THE INCA CITADEL)
Finally in last day of our inca jungle tour we get up around 4:00 am. we get ready to head to Machu Picchu, our trek will follow an ascending path through the high forest, hopefully we could have the opportunity to see the sunrise on our way, after registering in the control entrance around 6:00 am. we will have a private guide leading us within the Inca citadel, and after 2 hrs. aprox. the group will be free to enjoy Machu Picchu by its own. Those travelers that booked the hiking to Huayna Picchu will be able to start this journey, the climbing lasts around 45 min. the way up is very steppy at some points but it’s worth it because the view from this area is breathtaking. Although this trek is not recommended for people that suffer of dizziness. In the afternoon, according to the departure of the train ticket, we will descend walking to the town of Aguas Calientes to get the train back to Ollantaytambo where the group will be picked up and transferred to Cusco city. Remember to be at least 30 min. at the train station before departure. End of our journey in the plaza de armas.

Day 12 – Bus to Puno
Breakfast at the hotel; transfer to the bus station to head off to Puno. Day 13 – Lake Titicaca / Uros Floating Island and Overnight in Amantani SHARED TOUR.
Breakfast at the hotel; Lake Titicaca 2 Day/1 night pick up from the Hotel take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating “Islands” of the Uros. These ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe, have built their own “islands” by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called “Totora”. Their homes and boats are also made from this material. Continue the motor boat trip to Amantani Island. This island is inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives still governed by their ancient traditions, whose main occupations are the production of ceramics and textiles. Day 14 – Lake Titicaca / Taquile Island SHARED TOUR or Private Tour.
Breakfast at the familiar house; you have time to stroll at leisure through the quaint streets of this colourful island. Late morning, take a motor-boat to Taquile Island, also inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and unique social systems, as well as fine hand weaving techniques, down through the generations. It is necessary to go up a stairway of more than 567 steps – streaks of stone that wind their way among greenery platforms – to arrive at the town of Taquile. Lunch at Taquile, and then take a walk through the various hills and archaeological sites of this 6km long island in the afternoon back to Puno. Overnight at Puno Hotel
